Being on Normanton Road puts us inside a mile of fourteen schools. That is unusual, and it is the whole reason the door-to-door service works: the runs are short, children are not sitting in a vehicle for half an hour, and we can cover several schools in the same afternoon.

How the school run works
Our staff are at the school gate before the end of the day, so children are met rather than left waiting. Every child is signed out of school and signed in with us, and the register is checked twice — once on leaving school and once on arrival at Normanton Road. An escort with an enhanced DBS check travels with the children at all times, and the vehicle carries insurance covering the carriage of children.
In the morning it runs the other way. Children arrive at ours from 7:00am and we take them to school in time for the bell.
At the end of the session, children go home. You do not collect from us unless you want to — and plenty of parents do, because it is easier to have a two-minute conversation about the day at the door.

What it costs
The round trip is £8.00 a day, or £6.50 a day for an additional child at the same address. It is included in the monthly Wraparound Care Plan at £800 a month for the first child and £650 for each sibling. For home-educated children we collect from the home address instead of a school gate, at the same £8.00 a day.
